Identification of candidate members of the Sangarius stream!

December 9th, 2021

A paper on applying astrometric corrections and measuring stellar proper motions through Joint Survey Processing of ground- (Subaru/HSC) and space-based (Hubble/ACS) datasets has been submitted to the journals by Sergio Fajardo-Acosta et al. The paper also identifies candidate high-velocity stars in the halo, some of which may be members of the Sangarius stream.

Roman Early Science White Paper Submitted

Members of the IPAC JSP team submitted an Early Science white paper to the Roman project to undertake Kp observations of the Euclid Deep Fields.

Roman Galactic Plane Early Science White Paper Submitted

October 22nd, 2021

Members of the IPAC JSP team led by Roberta Paladini, submitted an Early Science white paper to the Roman project to image the Galactic Plane with three WFI bandpasses.

JSP Splinter Session on Zoom

The JSP splinter session which was to be held on Jan 11th at the AAS #239 (cancelled due to Covid) has been moved online to Zoom! The goal of this session is to get community input on the desired astrometric and photometric precision of the data products that a JSP initiative should deliver and its implications for the upstream pipeline processing.
